CannaCon Seattle 2019 Recap
CannaCon Seattle 2019 has come and gone and Dauntless, Inc. had a presence like no other. We have attended this event every year since its inception and this year, the buzz and conversations around the Dauntless booth were as lively and exiting as we have ever seen. From attendees just looking to get into the industry all the way up to industry leaders, growers, retailers, and investors, the quality conversations were energizing to say the least. Your excitement with what we have been building, specifically the GIANT ecosystem, validated our focus on the entirety of the cannabis and hemp industry.
Our CEO (Clark Musser) and COO (Brady Miller) were interviewed for an upcoming CannaCon podcast, sharing their thoughts on the show and the state of the industry. Look for another post when the interview is available!
Many of our current clients came by our booth with rave reviews including Rainier Valley Cannabis, Ponder, Clear Choice, Dockside, and many others. One client did so excitedly as we were chatting with one of our competitors (unknown to our client) about the GIANT network and how they could benefit from working more closely together.
We continue to validate that our software and services are the best available on the market and continue to evaluate our competitors to ensure that we don’t fall short in the features our customers desire. Over the last 6 months, we have discovered many new companies attempting to break into this space, but the feedback we received is they are not ready and don’t understand the industry as well as we do so we are reaching out and working with them to partner on providing the industry as many choices as possible.
The producer/processor segment of our industry continues to search for a service that has better data analysis to help them understand their business now and project into the future. With our DemandLink partnership, our services offer deep data analysis, projections, and business intelligence capabilities.
Retailers are looking for a more reliable software that doesn’t crash on 4/20, and a provider that will partner with them in their growth and deliver on promises. We have found few retailers, outside of Dauntless customers, satisfied with their current provider. Our largest competitor actually had a support table at their booth to address client’s needs. Our support is live and available when you need them, not a desk at a sales conference long after you don’t.
Overall this was a great event for Dauntless with lots of opportunities ahead. We will capitalize and build from this as we continue to be the partner the industry looks toward, to lead our ecosystem into the future.
